Oktoberfest Special

On Saturday it’s that time of the year again. The world’s biggest Volksfest will open it’s gates in Munich. Hello, Wiesn – hello, Oktoberfest! Since 1810 these festivities are annually held in Munich but since a few years this tradition has also swept over to other areas. Also in Berlin and Potsdam are many events taking place in the next few weeks under the theme “Oktoberfest”. Jana traditionally heads to the Oktoberfest hosted by the Café am Neuen See, which took place the past weekend. Here she has collected some impressions for you to get you in the mood. Here’s her impression of the past event: “I love CANS WIESN at Café am Neuen See. Firstly, my boyfriend is the host of the event and secondly, all my friends are there! Oktoberfest in Munich might be the original, but surely the atmosphere and spirits are at least the same in our Oktoberfest tent! We all love to dance the night away to the classic Wiesn Hits and just have fun. I can only recommend to …

How to wear a Trenchcoat

The Trenchcoat has probably easily became one of our favorite fashion pieces ever. Always looking timeless and chic, you can wear this piece to any occasion. Today we would like to share some various outfit combinations with you. The trenchcoat Jana is wearing, is from the label Club Monaco and she got it two years ago during our time in New York. It was love on first sight and since then has been a loyal partner. When buying a trench, you really got to watch the length of it. There are so many different lengths and not every length suits every body typ. And who wants to look lost in their trench? No one! So, when you go out and want to buy one, make sure the store offers various lengths. Or you head to different stores. Try a long, middle length and short one in order to see which suits you the best. Next step: color. Of course beige is the classic color for a trench and when you want to invest a little …

Touch of Pink

It’s one week left until the Moët Party Day – we’re counting! However, this weekend is going to be less glamorous… We will both be working on Saturday and hopefully enjoy the sun on Sunday a little. About this look: the dress is my new favorite summer dress, the kind that you will throw over in seconds as soon as the sun comes out and instantly feel good in! I combined it with my small everyday-bag and some summer sandals. Dress – Mango Bag – Furla Shoes – Zara

Shopping in Berlin: Bellwinkel

In the heart of Güntzelkiez in Wilmersdorf, we found this small and cozy shop called “Bellwinkel”. The store offers a wide variety of small things, that make your life more beautiful – interesting cookbooks, colorful spoons, cooking equipment, candles, teas, chocolates, spices, nice dishes… The particular: all goods are neatly arranged by colors. During lunchtime, Bellwinkel provides a new lunch menu every day. Apart from that, they also do catering. Altogether, Bellwinkel is the right address for gifts, if you need a certain oriental spice for a new recipe or if you’re just in the mood for strolling… Bellwinkel Güntzelstraße 46 10717 Berlin What To Wear to this location

Furla Acero

Newest addition to my wardrobe… After wanting a chic, simple and elegant clutch that can go with every outfit, I finally decided to get a Furla Metropolis bag. It’s beige, to be more specific the color is “acero” with some light golden details. The inside is crafted with soft, beige suede and some rivets are supporting the bag from underneath. Dear Furla Metropolis, I love your simple and chic design, that you go with every outfit and I am already looking forward to spending the summer with you!

Shopping in Berlin: Schee

I love to discover new little boutiques and shops in my neighborhood. One store that I recently stumbled across is Schee, located in Bleibtreustraße. So we went to check it out last weekend. The store is a lovely mix of interior and decoration accessories, cards and books, prints and textiles. In my opinion one of the addresses to go for when you’re searching for a present for a friend or family member! We really liked how elaborate and carefully selected the selection of items was – every piece was special! They also have another store in Berlin located at Rosenthaler Straße (close to the underground station Rosenthaler Platz, Mitte). We definitely want to visit that one too. Light Blue

While taking these pictures we were once again reminded that we live in a city where rain is inevitable. So we headed to Walter-Benjamin-Platz, a square named after the philosopher Walter Benjamin. The adjoining Leibniz colonnades offer the right protection for some outfit snaps (and yes, we have taken here some pictures before. Take a look here and here). The light blue jacket is from the current Zara collection and also available in a light pink pastel shade. A friend of mine wore it and I instantly fell in love with it. So, as soon as I got home I ordered it online and got it delivered a few days later. I actually didn’t think of really buying it in the end but somehow it was just too gorgeous to send back.
