It’s Monday and the week ahead of us is filled with appointments. We have been working on an exciting cooperation which we will launch this Wednesday on the blog – stay tuned. Besides our daily madness we will be traveling between university, business meetings, ballet rehearsals and grabbing a coffee on the go. The past weeks have been really busy and it seems the up-coming ones won’t be much easier (our schedules are drenched in different colours and plastered with sticky notes). Happy First Of May Everyone! Today, we have a holiday in Germany so I can write this post, sitting in a beautiful garden, in the sun, with a green tea and a bowl of fruit right next to me! In my opinion, May is a particularly beautiful month, since it is the month of flowers blooming everywhere and often it is also the transition to summer. Only in May, the temperatures rise considerably and we can spend more time outside – finally!
Embroided Jeans They’re everywhere – whether Zara, Mango, H&M or the high-class gucci version: Embroided jeans are the new cool. I remember when I was a child and my mom patched up my jeans (which were dirty and had holes in them from playing outside) with some colorful flowers, mickey mouses… Now, jeans are more colorful than ever and that’s definitely a trend we’re in love with! Off-Shoulder Off-Shoulder tops, dresses and blouses just give a certain lightness to every outfit – therefore they have become absolute it-pieces for the summer. I like that they embrace shoulders and neckline for a change instead of cleavage – and that makes them not less sexy! Chokers Chokers always had something sexual and wicked about them but now they’re celebrating a comeback. Day and night – they can be combined with everyday outfits and simple t-shirts as well as sexy evening dresses.
The long Easter weekend is here and we are indulging in some free time and good chocolate eggs. How will you spend Easter Sunday? We will have a lovely lunch containing grilled salmon and green asparagus. And in the afternoon we will hit a theater production and in the evening meet our friends for a good dancing session at the local club. It maybe not the traditional Easter Sunday with the whole family and a good brunch or dinner but it dose not matter how you celebrate those festive days as long as you are happy with the events/gatherings you pick. During the last couple of days we were often asked why don’t we celebrate Easter with our family but it’s simply a huge logistical effort since they are all over Germany. Therefore its really nice to just gather people around you who you love and who give you a good feeling, no matter if its Easter, Christmas or any other day, We hope you all have some lovely plans and wish you H A …
The long Easter weekend lays ahead of us and we do hope for some better weather than the forecast gives us. We haven’t planed much and will rather try to regain some strength and relax with our families. Next week university starts again and I’m not so motivated but hope the excitement will kick in as soon as I meet my fellow students. After such a long university-free-time it can be a real pain to go back and study. The past weeks haven’t been easy and I was researching and writing two essays. I didn’t go on holiday and the next weeks will be filled with new lectures and rehearsals for our up-coming ballet. Hello, April! Hello Spring and the light mood that comes with the first sunny days! Fortunately, we’ve been lucky when it comes to the weather in Berlin so far – the last days have been warm and full of sun! That’s probably why I suddenly have such an urge to shop light dresses, pastel colors, rose colored sandals and light-washed jeans with flower embroideries… What are your most loved spring trends this year?

Last Friday the team of Headspace PR and COTY invited us once more to an exceptional blogger get-together in Frankfurt am Main. Everything was just perfect! The location, the setting, the food and the people. It was an absolutely phenomenal afternoon. Center of attention were the fragrances by Esprit, Mexx, Bruno Banani and James Bond. For each one of them the team created special workshops. We made flower bouquets, tried to form blossom shaped ice cream, learned about dos and don’ts when visiting metropolises and created our own gif. And of course they spoiled us with delicious hearty food and lovely sweet treats. A big thank you to the lovely team and all those busy bees who helped to make this afternoon a memorable one. We are looking forward to more fun workshops and events.
It’s a new season, hence time to talk about some recent trends – we chose five trends that we consider hot right now. What are your favorites and which ones don’t you like at all? Let’s talk! Bomber Jackets To be honest, they have been around for quite a while now – still, we totally love them! They’re not only transporting us back into times of the Grease movie and coca cola advertisements but are a quick way to add some cool to every outfit. Fishnet Tights Long they’ve been associated more with CanCan dancers in Parisian night clubs than high fashion – now they’re everywhere. Underneath ripped boyfriend jeans, suede skirts or mini dresses. See-through tops with flower embroidery Valentino was first, all others followed – now, black see-through tops with colorful flower embroidery have trickled down to commercial clothing companies. Plain T-shirts To be honest: not really a new trend but still omnipresent as ever – a plain white, black or striped t-shirt. We love, that it’s such a simple piece of clothing …
It’s already March – time flies – and we’re in a pinkish, energetic mood. We already cherish every sun beam we catch and can’t wait until warmer temperatures are arriving… Apart from that, we (as always) have our hands full with blog work – we’ve some cool #berlinguide locations coming up as well as some cool outfit posts. What are your plans for spring time? Do you have any goals in mind?
