Through my Art History studies I knew that the National Gallery of Art in Washington had a lot of art but when I walked through the breath-taking building I was still mesmerized.

The whole museum is so beautifully arranged and the pieces are delicately hanged or placed in the rooms. For a art fan a true bliss! But most of all I was fascinated by the East and West Garden Court – a tropical oasis were I just could have stayed forever.

And best part? All of this is for f r e e!

If you want to visit this museum make sure to plan your day around it. It takes time but is certainly worth it.
