PFW S/S 2015: Berlin Showroom

Yesterday, we went to the Berlin Showroom and enjoyed a lovely morning with coffee, raspberry madeleines and finest Berlin fashion in Paris. Brands like Perret Schaad, Hien Le, Barre Noir, Esther Perbandt, Monya Wasilewski, Antonia Goy and Isabell de Hillerin showed their actual collections and were happy to share their individual inspirations for their pieces in a small chat.

BFW S/S 2015: Photo Diary Lavera Showfloor

Sustainability is a topic that concerns all of us and which slowly but surely has found its way into the fashion scene. I think especially nowadays, in times of shocking incidents like the Bangladesh factory collapse, we are more concerned about our clothes’ origin and finally start to ask questions about material, production, working conditions or methods. It is most important that fashion labels react to this customer sensibility hence green fashion is more trendy than ever. The lavera Showfloor, which takes place on occasion of the Berlin Fashion Week, is one of the most important events when it comes to so-called green glamour. On three show days, laver shows designers all over the world that all have one thing in common: their collections are not only highly fashionable but also made under fair circumstances and with sustainable materials. This summer, I was working at the lavera Showfloor and intact responsible for finding these 11 international designers, who fulfill ethical but also fashionable standards. It was definitely a challenging job but I enjoyed every minute …

VoxSecretSpaNight

Since this project isn’t official yet, we can only show you some pictures of the event were invited to. It was a lovely evening with some other bloggers, delicious food and an interesting presentation. The goody bag we received afterwards was a true delight. Filled with Liebeskind Berlin, MAC cosmetic and Thomas Sabo products. Thanks for the invite once more!

Backstage at Lavera Showfloor 2014

Wednesday night, there was the Lavera Showfloor 2014 taking place at Umspannwerk Alexanderplatz. I had the chance to take photographs from two different points of view-backstage as well as in the main hall. The atmosphere backstage was firstly tense and most exciting, as everyone was eager to give their best on stage and give a great performance. Surely, they succeeded and showed once more again that fashion can have a consciousness! Green luxury will not be a temporary issue but moreover a necessity of modern times.

French Tea Time

Yesterday, we gladly accepted an invitation to our first French Tea time ever at Concorde Hotel Berlin. We surely knew the old tradition of English Tea but we have never experienced the French version up until now! One thing we can tell for sure- it was more than delicious and involved for example freshly made apricot macarons, madeleines and the finest jasmine tea ever! Thank you so much for having us, we are already excited for the next event that may come up.

Premium Young Designers Award Ceremony

On Monday the 1st of July, just one day before Berlin Fashion Week kicked-off officially, we were invited to the Premium Young Designers Award Ceremony. It took place at the F95 store and as a special act Frida Gold performed live. The winners of this season were Franziska Michael (Womenswear), Tothem (Menswear) and VK Lillie (Accessories). It was a nice afternoon with refreshing drinks and Haagen Dazs ice-cream.

Shopping in Berlin: Wald

What do you get, when a stylist and a model team up? Yes, a super stylish store in Mitte. Dana Roski and Joyce Binneboese are the owners of the store “Wald” in Berlin. It is located close to Hackescher Markt, an area crowded with fashionable people (so, actually the perfect location for a fashion store if you look at it). Nevertheless since a longer time the stores around here have become a bit more upper price class. That’s why the two girls want to keep their own price tags at a “low” but not cheap level. You will find a range from 15 Euros up to 500 Euros. It is not like walking into Acne and wincing because you can’t afford anything. Their style is a good mixture and you find a lot of Scandinavian designers such as Carin Wester. Their intention was to create a store were you feel relaxed and cool and that the clothes reflect what they would wear themselves. Your are warmly welcomed to come in and try everything on. …

BFW not for us this season

We actually can’t believe it but the summer holidays are so close! Only 4 days left! So we find some time at the moment to work more on our blog. We are working on a really cool project which we will show you in a few days. Berlin Fashion Week is also very soon…. but not for us. We are of and away (more about that soon!) and hoped to find someone who could go for us instead but it has turned out to be very, very hard. Nearly everyone is away, too. If someone reads this and is keen on helping us out we would be more than happy.
