Personal Issue: About dating and body-shaming

You probably ask yourself how these two topics, dating and body-shaming, can become the content of one combined post. But sadly I had to experience they can. A few weeks ago I was sitting backstage with some dear, female colleagues and we were chatting like we always do when we get back together after some time. It’s always fun and every girls topic you can imagine comes to discussion here. Last time we once again came to the topic of dating and what we all have experienced lately. One of my colleagues told us about her last Tinder date and this is the base of this post. She met this guy at a café and they chatted about a few topics. It still was a cold day in Berlin and she had her scarf laying on her lap. Not as a blanket, just as a bundle of fabric. After some time she went to the toilet and as she returned, she once again placed the scarf on her lap. The guy noticed it and, hold …

#sommergesund with SisterMag

Last Friday I finally had the chance to meet the lovely SisterMag girls again. Occasion? They organized an event setting a primary focus how to get healthy and fit through the summer season. In little workshops we got an inside look on health products, beauty treatments and latest wholesomeness helpers. During the lunch break you were able to get a pedi and mani session, polish your hair style or refresh you make up by a great beauty team. And of course we have to mention the delicious food which has been served all day long. Starting with some breakfast treats, a lunch break and in the afternoon sweets and coffee. Dear SisterMag Team, thank you for this great experience and the lovely day I have been able to spend with you. Well done for making us a little more happy and healthy during some hectic weeks. #MCWorkout: Introduction

This topic has been on our list for a long time and we finally found the courage to pick it up on our blog: it’s time to work out! From time to time we will create some posts which will run under the hashtag #MCWorkout. These will show you our routines, inspire and motivate you. But first things first. We have collected five facts for you which you should always keep in mind. 1. Miracles don’t happen over night Getting in shape is never ever easy and certainly not something that can happen in 24 hours. 2. Every body is different This is also something many people forget about. Some people achieve their goals faster than others. Seems unfaire but it all depends on your own will power. 3. Sport means sweating Yes, get over it. You will sweat and you face will be red. But hey, thats what it always should be like because afterwards you will feel great and full of energy. 4. Treat yourself Everyone eventually needs a break sometimes. This is probably the hardest part for me and sometimes I really …

Superfoods

Nowadays, healthy food has become a trend. You are overwhelmed by the media with buzzwords like “detox”, “superfood”, “gluten free” or “vegan”. However, what does this even mean? And how to find the right balance in your life when it comes to food? Because, in my opinion, it’s all about balance. You’ll never be happy in life without a little treat sometimes and without a cheat day during your week. Sticking to a strict diet plan is not only unhealthy, it can also lead to serious eating disorders. With this post, we do not want to tell you what is right or wrong in eating – we are surely no experts in the field. We just informed ourselves a little about those so-called superfoods and wanted to share the knowledge with you. So, what is superfood? Superfood first of all is a marketing term, created to promote healthy food. However, there is something true about the term: superfood basically describes food that contains much nutrition thus is supposed to be good for your body. Nevertheless, eating as …

“I dream my painting and I paint my dream.”

On Thursday I finally met Dean from PickledThoughts. A very talented and vibrant photographer based in Berlin who was looking for a dancer to take some snaps with. The little photo-session turned out to be a super great morning in Berlin. Normally I am unhappy with dancing pictures of myself but these have truly captured my heart since they show me as a person, who I really am and what my passion is. I’m faraway from being a perfect dancer, which is certainly why I love dancing so much: you will never reach the finish line. Always find something to work on, to improve. Dancing is certainly never easy and for me just half the effort is not enough. I really push myself to a limit. Normally I train 5 times a week and on the weekend do my own home workout. Told you… always on the run. Check Deans official page for some more pictures taken by him! We will be working on more fun projects together.
