It puts a spell on you

Those of you who are following us on Instagram and Facebook have probably seen that I’m currently back in New York. But not for Fashion Week as many may think but to follow my passion: dancing. It has become a tradition to visit this city every year to train, be inspired and get new ideas. Again it has been a true pleasure for me and it will be so hard to leave on Monday. I somehow feel a little more attached to the city than the years before and enjoy each and every moment. I hope I can come back soon and train even more. For now I love sharing some snaps with you and over the next weeks you will be able to experience more #newyorkguide posts.

Casual Sophistication

Last weeks have been full with work – I have been working on a new project that I am more than excited about but that is surely demanding as well! We will tell you more about it soon. Until then, we find time to catch up between work meetings or have a short coffee break together. Shop this style

MC Talk with Alice Williamson

Alice Williamson, born in the UK, is currently working as a ballet dancer with the Staatsballett Berlin. With her creativity and her bright personality she has captured our hearts and our love for fun dancing skirts. Besides working as a dancer she runs her own ballet-skirt-producing-company called Designed by Alice. Beautiful colours, delicate chosen fabrics and with an eye for details Alice crafts these pretty dance wear pieces. We therefore have decided to include this creative bird into our MC Talk and asked her our six questions. First things first. When you were a child what did you dream of being? I dreamt of being a lot of things, I dreamt and imagined alot in general! What do you always take with you when you travel? Pen and paper, sticky tape, sissors and lots of books to read and a camera. What is your favorite spot on earth? I am not sure I have found it yet: at least that’s my excuse to keep exploring. I dream of elemental skypes, moody skys, and intriguing flora …

Must see in New York: Columbia University

On a beautiful autumn day we grabbed the chance to visit the main campus of the famous Columbia University (hello, Gossip Girl!). The whole area is really beautiful arranged, calm and worth visiting for an afternoon. Instantly you would love to study here just because of the relaxed atmosphere. It certainly feels like a different world than New York City – a get-away for heart and soul. Columbia University 116th St & Broadway New York, NY 10027 United States

Washington Photo Diary

Staying in New York for a little longer gave me the chance to travel to Washington D.C. for one day (first note to myself and everyone out there: one day is way too short for this city!). After reading Dan Browns “The Lost Symbol” I was just longing to visit this city. My boyfriend and I took the bus from New York straight to Washington which took about 4,5 hours – long journey but it was the cheapest fare. We reached the Union Station around 10am and wanted to drive back from here around 7pm. Luckily most time of the day we didn’t have any rain and were therefore able to walk A LOT (my legs were dying at the end of the day!). But it was absolutely worth it. The city is amazing! So much to see, so much to explore. What stunned me the most was the Lincoln Memorial, the Library of Congress and the National Art Gallery (post about this coming soon). If you ever get the chance to visit this city I can just highly recommend it to you …

Williamsburg Photo Diary

Once you are in New York longer than just a few weeks, you’ll start to discover one area at the time and eventually move to Brooklyn’s new hotspot – Williamsburg. The area is mostly young and arty, with many wall paintings and cafes to hang out, as well as some rooftops to have a chilled glass of Brooklyn lager beer. What I love most about this area is that around each corner, there is another interesting thing waiting and this district is so full of contrasts. We will keep you updated with our favorite spots in Williamsburg soon! What To Wear

My ten favorite places in Weimar

I would never ever have thought that I would be visiting Weimar more than once or twice. But with my boyfriend studying here it has become a regular weekend get-away destination for me. And honestly – I love this little city! Therefore I’m really happy to share with you my ten favorite places around town. 1. Gelateria Giancarlo is probably the most amazing ice cream café I have ever been to. They have at least 50 different flavors every day and change them from time to time. 2. Goethes house – typical tourist destination but definitely worth a visit. Just seeing how much Goethe was collecting and studying is overwhelming. 3. The Bauhaus Museum along with the Bauhaus University is another aspect why Weimar is so famous. 4. Anno 1900 is a little restaurant located at the Goetheplatz serving delicious food – you will definitely love their menu! 5. The Anna Amalia Library should be at the top of your must-see list. The beautiful interior and the old books are just a feast for the eyes. In 2004 nearly everything was lost due to …
