Very rarely, it occurs that you experience that perfect summer moment. The sun is shining, all your friends are gathered, there’s music and a cool drink in your hand. Last saturday, that rare moment happened at the Moet Summer Party in Berlin. The setting was as fabulous as the brand itself – there were white table tennis courts, a glamorous pick-nick situation, giant pool toys, a beach and bar, the beautiful Halensee and a bridge reaching far onto the lake. All girls were wearing white boho dresses and flowers in their hair. The highlight of the event was definitely the live performance of Berlin based artist Adesse. After the performance, with the late sunset the party slowly came to an end but we can still feel that warm feeling of happiness all over. Do you know this feeling? The feeling when you visit a location that just takes your breath away? Through our time in New York we have been lucky to often see the city from above and admire the hectic world beneath. These spots, where you can see Berlin from above, have also been growing stronger in the last couple of years. But sometimes there are still these roof views that seem so unreal. During a special project we got the chance to snap some pictures on the roof of the hotel Sofitel in Berlin.
One of our obsessions since New York are Acai bowls. After we tried the Acai bowl at TwoHands we were more than willing to try it ourselves and share it with you. Here is what you need: one frozen banana, 100g frozen raspberries, 75ml almond milk (you can also go for soy or coconut milk) and one tablespoon Acai powder, fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries – it’s up to you), granola, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts. How to make: Freeze a banana (cut into pieces) one night in advance. Add the banana, frozen raspberries, almond milk and Acai powder to a mixer and blend. Serve in a bowl. In the next couple of weeks I will be attending a handful of events where it is necessary to dress chic, which is why I figured it would be nice to invest into a new dress. When it comes down to such events it’s nice to have something in your closet you can always rely on e.g. this dotted H&M dress from the current collection (available in stores now). It was a beautiful day in July, when our dear friends said “yes” forever. We were happy to share this special day with them and be part of such a dream wedding! Of course it is not easy to find a dress for such an occasion and with mine I had this seldom and wonderful “aha” moment – that was the right dress! When you experience such a moment, you feel more confident in your dress and there is an inner shine that comes from within! At the moment such much is happening in our lives that we hardly realize how crazy our daily routines sometimes are. Just so you can imagine what is going on we are happy to give you a little insight. Our biggest issue at the moment is changing the Midnight Couture layout. This is super fun and even more nerve-racking (luckily we have a great web designer at our hands!). The side will be totally different because we figured out what we want to focus on in the future, mainly lifestyle topics such as travel, fitness, health, interior and events. Of course fashion and street style will stay with us but we would both say that this isn’t a pure fashion blog anymore. When growing up and experiencing new things your mind and your ideas change. Which is why we want to take this adventure further and give our creativity a bigger space. Besides this, we will both leave Berlin for a few months in order to follow our dreams and live our lives to the fullest. Where we are going? We will tell …
