Female Future Force

Last week Thursday we had the chance to attend the Female Future Force event hosted by the magazine Edition F. The theme of the event was “Life-Changing-Moments” and five women were invited as speakers throughout the evening. The location of the event was the STATION at Luckenwalder Str., in the heart of Berlin. We got there a little after half past 8 and a big queue had already formed in front of the main entrance.  The the big space inside was needed: around 800 people, mainly women, attended the event on this evening. The first hour before the speakers took the stage was a little hectic and crazy. Rosen Garden Berlin was responsible for the catering on this evening and did a great job with their team. We enjoyed some delicious creams with fresh bread, Mexican wraps, shrimps and dumplings as well as fresh fruits and banana bread. The drinks were supplied by Russian Standard, Weingut Diehl and Vöslauer. We especially fell in love with the rosé wine by Weingut Diehl but also Russian Standard …

Personal Issue: About growing beyond oneself

Frankly, the last couple of months have been rough. To say it mildly, I’ve had a lot on my plate! Some would argue, that it was my own fault, I simply say: you grow with your tasks. In Winter 2015, I’ve taken on a job as a conceptualist / marketing manager / interior designer for a Berlin start-up called Rose Garden. You might have seen it in a post the other day. I’ve loved this job from day one and given my heart and soul for this brand. My tasks included to work on concepts, do trend research as well as develop a Social Media strategy and form the brand’s CI – to make a long story short – a dream job for a young creative business student like me. I worked full-time during the semester break and wasn’t ready to give up my job when the semester started again, so the only consequence was to do both. And that’s what I did. I signed up for my bachelor’s thesis, which I wrote about brand …

Rose Garden Berlin

The last weeks have been quiet on Midnight Couture – life happened and we couldn’t do much about it! We have both been working on some amazing projects, some of them were more demanding and since blogging can be considered a full-time job nowadays, that’s why there has been a lack of posts! However, I’m quite proud to announce that the project I’ve been working on more than one year now is called Rose Garden – a deli & concept store in Berlin Mitte. I’ve been involved in the whole creative process of this project, being responsible for interior design, conception, marketing, social media and press work. Since a couple of days, our store set-up is finally ready and we are already opening our doors from time to time to let the team warm up. There will soon be more posts about Rose Garden and I will announce our official opening date! Until then, feel free to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get more updates of my work – @rosegardenberlin – I happy …

Bachelor Thesis: Finding a topic

As the title of this post revealed I will give you a little insight into my university life. Since I just finished my bachelor thesis and handed it in last week I figured out it would be nice to give some support to those who still have this challenge ahead. One of the hardest things in the process of setting-up the bachelor thesis is finding the topic you want to focus on. Nevertheless there are some elements you can follow in order to find the right topic. 1. Choose a topic you like by creating a mind-map This seems to be a simple advice but its so essential. You will work on this topic for months and therefor it needs to be something you are happy about. Sometimes the best way to evaluate your ideas is to create a mind-map in order to structure your thoughts. 2. Do some research If you were able to limit your selection to three to one topics its time to do some research. Check the literature statues, read articles …

Work Outfit

During busy work days there is no room for fancy outfits but a comfortable and simple outfit will do. I like to stick to black with some statement pieces as highlights. Necklace – Sence Copenhagen Leather Jacket – Zara Belt – Mango Sunglasses – Ace&Tate
