Furla Acero

Newest addition to my wardrobe… After wanting a chic, simple and elegant clutch that can go with every outfit, I finally decided to get a Furla Metropolis bag. It’s beige, to be more specific the color is “acero” with some light golden details. The inside is crafted with soft, beige suede and some rivets are supporting the bag from underneath. Dear Furla Metropolis, I love your simple and chic design, that you go with every outfit and I am already looking forward to spending the summer with you!

Ballet Nails with NeoNail

For us, neat and nice nails should just be a standard in every woman’s beauty routine. However, we all know, that’s easier said than done! Especially as a dancer, nails have to endure a lot: some choreographies include dancing on the ground, rolling over, steadying oneself on one arm… Additionally, in Ballet, it’s normally not allowed to wear apparent nail colors like red or dark colors, because as a dancer you are playing a role and the wrong nail polish can destroy a whole character. When you’re a guest at a ballet performance in the theatre on the other hand, you certainly dress up and to every night out dress belongs the right nail polish. Today, in friendly cooperation with NeoNail, we would like to show you two ways of styling your hands in a perfect dancer’s style: First, as a ballet dancer in a soft rose nude, and secondly, as a spectator at the theatre, wearing a glamorous outfit! Here’s our Step By Step Guide to beautiful dancer’s nails:  Our nail look for a …

Personal Issue: Digital Detox

I think it’s only natural that a person who is quite involved in Social Media and communication will at some point ask herself, what consequences it has to be always online. I work as a Marketing & Social Media Manager and additionally also have this Blog (which I love working on and creating content for!) – you can believe me, that’s a lot of time spent on Instagram, FB & Co. Especially, with the rise of Snapchat and Instagram Stories I feel like the time people spent watching videos has increased dramatically. Last week, I read an article on Spiegel Online, which reported that a court has declared making phone calls with a mobile phone an occupational disease – since it had caused brain cancer for an Italian worker. I personally was shocked when I read the article – is that going to happen to me to if I continue spending that much time on the phone? Are these consequences for real? Apart from the health consequences, Social Media have severe consequences for our daily …

Lunch in Berlin: Café Oliv / Oliv Eat

Whereas Café Oliv in Münzstraße is already established in Berlin Mitte for a while, now the second café/restaurant of the two owners opened at Potsdamer Straße. Last week, we checked out both locations. Both are stylish in a minimalistic way – the color oliv is like a red thread and pops up every now and then, for example in form of the beautiful chairs in Oliv Eat. The food is similarly simple but delicious: I enjoyed some pasta with asparagus, peas and some very light white wine sauce – it was a perfect lunch dish! I lost my Heart in Venice

Last Saturday was quite productive – we met with lovely Juliane from Headspace PR Hamburg in Café 1900 for some coffee and blog talk. Juliane was revealing, that we were part of their most recent issue of the Sermo Influencer Index, which is basically a huge network of international bloggers all around the world. Thank you again for the Ranking – we’re flattered! Later that day, we took some new street style photos with my new army green jacket that I got as a between-seasons-jacket! After some photos, we headed to another café and discussed our upcoming cooperation – we can tell you that much: it will be about beauty and solving a problem every girl has! Shopping in Berlin: Schee

I love to discover new little boutiques and shops in my neighborhood. One store that I recently stumbled across is Schee, located in Bleibtreustraße. So we went to check it out last weekend. The store is a lovely mix of interior and decoration accessories, cards and books, prints and textiles. In my opinion one of the addresses to go for when you’re searching for a present for a friend or family member! We really liked how elaborate and carefully selected the selection of items was – every piece was special! They also have another store in Berlin located at Rosenthaler Straße (close to the underground station Rosenthaler Platz, Mitte). We definitely want to visit that one too. Metallic Stripes

That’s what my basic everyday outfits look like – my favorite jeans (which is mostly the same brand to be honest – they just fit like a glove!), a black shirt, my new leather jacket, that I already love, and the most comfy sneakers! We’re aware that Adidas superstars and stan smiths are everywhere right now but as soon as I wore them, I knew why! They fit casually to every outfit and are super comfortable. Tel Aviv Travel Diary

Israel has so far been one of the most interesting travels of my life – we went first to Jerusalem for 2 days and afterwards to Tel Aviv for 3. I can surely say, that I’ve learned a lot about religion and culture within these 5 days. Whereas the old city Jerusalem is a place of religion and also a kind of strictness that comes with it, Tel Aviv is the complete opposite. The city is vivid, pulsing, multicultural, laid-back and manifold. To me, it was most impressive to experience the food culture in Tel Aviv – you’ll get to a house that seems as if it could collapse every second but on the ground floor there is the most amazing restaurant, with industrial style light bulbs, a sleek interior design and delicious food and wines! That, is basically the normal thing to happen. I was completely surprised by the quality of Israeli food and the attitude to life of its inhabitants. Another important aspect is the proximity to water – it is a bliss …

Personal Issue: About growing beyond oneself

Frankly, the last couple of months have been rough. To say it mildly, I’ve had a lot on my plate! Some would argue, that it was my own fault, I simply say: you grow with your tasks. In Winter 2015, I’ve taken on a job as a conceptualist / marketing manager / interior designer for a Berlin start-up called Rose Garden. You might have seen it in a post the other day. I’ve loved this job from day one and given my heart and soul for this brand. My tasks included to work on concepts, do trend research as well as develop a Social Media strategy and form the brand’s CI – to make a long story short – a dream job for a young creative business student like me. I worked full-time during the semester break and wasn’t ready to give up my job when the semester started again, so the only consequence was to do both. And that’s what I did. I signed up for my bachelor’s thesis, which I wrote about brand …

Beauty in Berlin: Shan’s Beauty

A couple of days ago, we spent a more than lovely morning at Shan’s True Beauty Lounge, situated directly at Kurfürstendamm. We really loved that, finally, there’s a similar concept in Berlin as the New York one, which are “blow dry” bars, where you can go and let your hair be washed and styled so that you can start the day right! Apart from the brilliant hairstyling we also got some beautiful manicures. There is a variety of nail polishes to choose from – all lovely colors. Altogether, we can only recommend to check out Shan’s Beauty Lounge if you have a minute, you can just walk in without an appointment! The prices are also moderate – you’ll get a manicure with nail polish for 20€ and a blow dry for 35€.
