Acai-Bowl

One of our obsessions since New York are Acai bowls. After we tried the Acai bowl at TwoHands we were more than willing to try it ourselves and share it with you. Here is what you need: one frozen banana, 100g frozen raspberries, 75ml almond milk (you can also go for soy or coconut milk) and one tablespoon Acai powder, fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries – it’s up to you), granola, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts. How to make: Freeze a banana (cut into pieces) one night in advance. Add the banana, frozen raspberries, almond milk and Acai powder to a mixer and blend. Serve in a bowl. Garnish with the remaining ingredients. Shop some bowls

MC Talk with Stephanie Lee Goldhahn

Stephanie Lee Goldhahn is a professional ballet dancer, currently living in Belgrade Serbia and working in the National Theatre. Originally from Australia her love of dance, which turned into a profession swept her up into traveling the world. She was the first Australian ballet dancer to be given a contract and employed as a soloist artist with the Imperial Russian Ballet and during this time was commended and written about by ballet critics of her debut performance of Cupid in Don Quixote. She’s currently engaged to Russian ballet dancer Daniil Kolmin and in the process of planning her wedding. Her love of writing has recently spurred her onto creating her own dance mixed with fashion blog, and her and Daniil’s wedding blog. When you were a child, what did you dream of being? When I was a child I really wanted to become an Olympic swimmer. I was really small, but very fast. My nickname was “Goldfish” (because my last name is Goldhahn) at competitions, I even believed one day I’d bring home a gold …

Lunch in Potsdam: Fahland Bistro

Last month the bakery chain Fahland (to be found in Potsdam and the surrounding area) opened a bistro in the heart of Potsdam. This is a new addition to their former concept. Along with their baked goods they offer sandwiches, soups, quiches, hearty salads, cakes and little tartlets. The interior is nicely chosen: warm and welcoming (created by Martina Haag). But I was really disappointed by the service. The seller behind the counter seemed stressed and annoyed by someone ordering something. And this actually has a whole impact on your visit. The coffee wasn’t hot enough from the beginning which is why it cooled out too quickly. In total it was nice to try and the food was good but I guess I will not come back because of the unfriendly service and the cold coffee. Spring is in the air

Last weekend my dancer colleague Davina and I took the chance to snap some spring inspired pictures under these beautiful blooming trees. They just make the perfect backdrop for such pictures and when they bloom you have to be real quick because as quickly as they grow the blossoms will be gone again just after a stormy day.

Eau De Lacoste Pour Elle

These three fragrances really made our hearts skip a beat. Inspired by the famous Lacoste pleated skirt this trio is giving us the full spring/summer swing. All three are fresh, fun and iconic in their scent. And those pastel shades make the perfect decor in our bathrooms. Still looking for a Mothers Day gift? Think you found one.. But make sure to take some time. It’s so hard to choose which one is better. Let us quickly introduce them to you: Elegant (white) Effortless, confident, classic. Citrus oil, cassis buds, pink pepper, mimosa, vetiver. Natural (green) Inspiring, authentic, warm. Coconut, raspberry leaves, mandarin, pineapple, Florentine iris. Sparkling (pink) Sweet and playful. Macaron, fruits, spices, patchouli. In cooperation with HeadspacePR and Lacoste

Bouquet of Dots

In the next couple of weeks I will be attending a handful of events where it is necessary to dress chic, which is why I figured it would be nice to invest into a new dress. When it comes down to such events it’s nice to have something in your closet you can always rely on e.g. this dotted H&M dress from the current collection (available in stores now). Since most of the events involve church visits I have chosen a knee-long dress with a flattery skirt and a narrow waist line. And after all the occasions the dress will still be a nice summer piece. Sweet Treat in Potsdam: Krümelfee

Cupcakes, small sweet treats varying in color, flavor and form. Normally we are not such big fans of these super sweet bits but those served at the Café Krümelfee are really enjoyable. Just the right amount of icing and size to be satisfied but not over-sweetened. You cans also enjoy a vegan creation if you wish. If you are suffering a lactose intolerance or just prefer other types of milk you will be happy here. Besides normal milk they also have soy milk in their range. And if you need a nice catering company they are happy to help you out. Breakfast in Berlin: Distrikt Coffee

Steadily the breakfast spots in Berlin are growing and improving. One, very instagramable place, is Distrikt Coffee closely located to the subway station Nordbahnhof. We have already seen a few pictures on the social media platforms and figured it was time to visit the café. They serve a delicious breakfast even though the portions are not very big and you certainly need more than one if you really want to be satisfied. Also the coffee pots aren’t really huge and quickly cool out. But everything tastes really good. Nevertheless because of the price this isn’t an everyday place to enjoy. The interior is cozy and the people hanging around here are typical Berlin inhabitants or tourists who stumbled across the place on Instagram. MC Talk with Alice Williamson

Alice Williamson, born in the UK, is currently working as a ballet dancer with the Staatsballett Berlin. With her creativity and her bright personality she has captured our hearts and our love for fun dancing skirts. Besides working as a dancer she runs her own ballet-skirt-producing-company called Designed by Alice. Beautiful colours, delicate chosen fabrics and with an eye for details Alice crafts these pretty dance wear pieces. We therefore have decided to include this creative bird into our MC Talk and asked her our six questions. First things first. When you were a child what did you dream of being? I dreamt of being a lot of things, I dreamt and imagined alot in general! What do you always take with you when you travel? Pen and paper, sticky tape, sissors and lots of books to read and a camera. What is your favorite spot on earth? I am not sure I have found it yet: at least that’s my excuse to keep exploring. I dream of elemental skypes, moody skys, and intriguing flora …
