Working with the squad from COTY is just always a joy. The last two years we have been a part of this amazing team (find a list with at the end of this post with the past events) and just loved all their events, surprises and cooperation offers. So, before telling you a little more about yesterdays event, I would like to take the chance and say thank you! The last two years the Christmas events have been held in Hamburg, which always brought me back to this lovely town. A town I somehow call home too since my Mum was born here. However this time they chose Berlin as their city, which also made me really happy and excited. Yesterday a bunch of bloggers and influencers headed to Delight Rental Studios in Berlin in order to spend a fun day together. Lunch in Potsdam: Restaurant Urwaldblick

Since the 1st of December we have a new lunch spot in Potsdam. The Biosphäre Potsdam, whom we have already worked together for a C&A collaboration, is now offering a new lunch menu served at their Restaurant Urwaldblick. The benefits of this? You can now also enjoy a delicious dish here without having to buy a day ticket for the whole complex. Meaning, you can just come and enjoy a good lunch. The restaurant serves international and seasonal dishes, which can be enjoyed under the palms trees of the venue. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the tropical complex and offers an in- and outdoor terrace plus an air-conditioned indoor area. Luckily we had the chance to try their new concept and menu on the opening day. They offer a weekly changing lunch menu as well as a fixed one. Breakfast in Leipzig: Café Luise

During my short trip to Leipzig we had breakfast at Café Luise, a spacious spot offering breakfast, lunch, cake and dinner. You see, an all-rounder. We came here on a Saturday morning and had made a reservation beforehand since we were seven people in total and it wouldn’t have been easy to get a table for that amount of people. If you just want to drop in alone or with a friend you shouldn’t have a problem to get a table with a little wait. It wasn’t full that morning. All of us ordered different dishes. I wasn’t that hungry and decided to just go for some scrambled eggs and a roll. Others decided to try the English breakfast, pancakes or a Swedish breakfast mainly serving fish. Since I jus opt for this simple dish I can’t give you such a detailed insight to their breakfast. It was good but not overwhelming. The other dishes looked good but nothing we haven’t seen already. Personal Issue: About being a university student and why it doesn’t fulfill me

Today I want to open up to you about a topic which has been on my mind for quite some time. And yes, the title already spoils it all. In 2012 I started to study Art History and Theatre science at the Freie Universität Berlin. Directly after finishing school I became a university student. My start wasn’t that great since just five days after the semester officially started I lost my father (you can read about this here). But maybe I have to go back a little further so you can understand why I started studying these topics. During my last school year I decided that I would like to become a dancer and go to a school where I could be trained professionally. Due to all my studying for the final school exams I didn’t have enough time to train as you need to in order to get a spot at those institutions. Which is why I decided I would train for one year everyday and apply for the dancer program during the next …

Staying in Leipzig: Downtown Apartments Leipzig

When traveling to different cities we have experienced that renting an apartment can be a quite good alternativ to a normal hotel. Which is why there have been plopping up so many new renting concepts around various cities. About a week and a half ago, a friend and I took the chance and headed to Leipzig. All planed as a surprise for another friend who just finished her final university examination in order to become a dentist. We wanted to surprise her and come to her graduation ball without letting her know. A few weeks before we browsed through the internet and my friend spotted the apartments called Downton Apartments Leipzig. The pictures got us instantly and we made a reservation with Rebekka, the owner of the apartments. Our first call was easy-going and she already seemed to be a welcoming person. These pictures can’t hide it anymore: Autumn is here. But it can be such a beautiful season with all those colored leaves, long walks through the park, cuddly scarfs and a cinnamon spiced coffee. What do you like to do during some sunny Autumn days? We also took the chance to snap some outfit pictures. Next week university life starts for me again and I’m actually not that motivated to go back to the classes. Somehow I love to work for new projects and enjoy some free time on the weekend, not thinking about reading texts and writing essays. But I’m looking forward to see all my study mates again and chat to them. It’s always fun to hear and see what they have been up to during our “free” time. Personal Issue: About feeling helpless

From time to time we all feel a little vulnerable and helpless. Some of us more often than others but mostly we can recover and build new strength. But we all probably know what its like to feel helpless. And I not only mean feeling helpless for ourselves but especially for others. So, I came to ask the question: why do we sometimes feel so helpless? What are these situations and is it possible to overcome them? I never thought that I would be picking up this kind off topic in a blog post but lately I figured it would be a good platform to talk about it. In my environment I have discovered a high rate of people facing eating disorders. I think this stems from the fact that I constantly work with girls from the age 13 to 18 and I have watched some of them grow up. From being a kid to becoming a teenager, struggling with various life issues. We have all been through this age or a currently still facing …

Female Future Force

Last week Thursday we had the chance to attend the Female Future Force event hosted by the magazine Edition F. The theme of the event was “Life-Changing-Moments” and five women were invited as speakers throughout the evening. The location of the event was the STATION at Luckenwalder Str., in the heart of Berlin. We got there a little after half past 8 and a big queue had already formed in front of the main entrance.  The the big space inside was needed: around 800 people, mainly women, attended the event on this evening. The first hour before the speakers took the stage was a little hectic and crazy. Rosen Garden Berlin was responsible for the catering on this evening and did a great job with their team. We enjoyed some delicious creams with fresh bread, Mexican wraps, shrimps and dumplings as well as fresh fruits and banana bread. The drinks were supplied by Russian Standard, Weingut Diehl and Vöslauer. We especially fell in love with the rosé wine by Weingut Diehl but also Russian Standard …

Who hasn’t been in this situation yet? There are some people in life who are really special to us and who have been through various ups and downs with us. Friends who are so special that we can’t live without them and need their guidance in every situation. Coffee in Potsdam: Kellermann

Since a long time I was craving for a cute coffee spot in Babelsberg, the area I spend quite a lot of time since the studio in try with is located here. There are many bakeries around but they don’t serve delicious coffee. Close to the subway station there used to be this super tiny coffee store where only two people would fit in to order their beverage. But it was worth the wait since the coffee was super delicious here. And then, someday, it was closed. I was really devastated since I just loved to grab a coffee to go here. A few weeks later a bigger café opened a few meters away and I instantly recognized that it was the same owner. They enlarged their business and now have a big café. This made me super happy and of course I wanted to share the new Kellermann with you. Besides some delicious coffee you can enjoy some fresh baked cakes, sandwiches, frozen yogurt and ice pops.
